Overview

VAC4EU Network

The DSRU is a very active member of Vaccine monitoring collaboration for Europe (VAC4EU), a European collaborative research network for monitoring the safety and effectiveness of vaccines.

We joined VAC4EU during the Covid pandemic in order to be able to collaborate with European partners to monitor the safety of vaccines across Europe. Our experienced epidemiology team now has more than 10 vaccine safety studies completed or in progress with VAC4EU on Covid and non-Covid vaccines.

About VAC4EU

VAC4EU is a not-for-profit international association of 28 members which form a well-characterised public study network. The network has developed a streamlined study pipeline for the generation of real-world evidence (RWE) from real-world data (RWD).

This standardised pipeline forms the basis for the regulatory-grade vaccine studies carried out by study teams, informing on vaccine safety and effectiveness across Europe. The network consists of 14 data sources which provide a range of different types of data for RWE studies.

Evidence generated from VAC4EU’s studies helps regulators and public health bodies make timely, informed decisions about vaccine safety and effectiveness.
