
Dr Alison Evans
SCEM Study Manager & Senior Research Fellow
Alison has a BSc (Hons) in Toxicology and Pharmacology from the School of Pharmacy, University of London and a PhD in genetics from St George’s Hospital Medical School in London. She worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at University College London studying the genetic aspects of hereditary heart disease.
After studying and working in London for 20 years, Alison’s life turned full circle with a move back down to Dorset and a return to the study of the adverse effects of drugs, joining the DSRU in 2012 as the Study Manager for the Rivaroxaban Observational Safety Evaluation (ROSE) study. She is also now the Study Manager for our current SCEM study, the ROSE ACS study and, as a Senior Research Fellow is also involved in the DSRU’s other pharmacovigilance activities.
