Amy joined the DSRU as a Research Fellow in October 2022. She qualified as a pharmacist completing a BPharm degree at Rhodes University, South Africa in 2016. Thereafter, she obtained a MPharm (Research) cum laude from Nelson Mandela University, South Africa in 2018. After working as a medicines information pharmacist in South Africa, Amy moved to the UK where she obtained an MSc (Global Health and Development) with distinction from University College London (UCL).
Since joining the DSRU, Amy’s main focus has been on studies of the Centre of Pharmacovigilance Sciences, including a global health study supporting pragmatic event monitoring in low- and middle-income countries. Amy is also involved in the critical review of safety data, benefit-risk studies and systematic reviews.
