The DSRU team is at the PIPA 2026 Annual Conference
Alison Evans, Sandeep Dhanda, and Miranda Davies recently enjoyed an inspiring experience at the Pharmacovigilance Day during the PIPA 2026 conference on 9th September in Uxbridge. It was a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with industry and regulatory colleagues, fostering a sense of community and shared mission.
A highlight of the event was the dynamic discussion surrounding additional risk minimisation measures. At the heart of this conversation was a critical question: How do we transcend mere compliance to ensure these measures genuinely benefit patients and enhance their experience with medicines, rather than being reduced to a mere "tick box" exercise?
The consensus was clear and encouraging—the importance of engaging patients throughout the entire lifecycle of these measures. This begins at the design phase, ensuring that patients' voices and needs are integrated from the outset, promoting a spirit of co-creation. By putting patients at the centre, we pave the way for impactful, real-world solutions that truly resonate with those we aim to serve.
We are excited to see how these meaningful conversations will translate into future collaborative opportunities, driving innovation and real-world impact in pharmacovigilance. Together, we can create a safer, more effective landscape for medicine use.
