The DSRU is delighted to be collaborating with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society to deliver two new training days.
The courses are designed to introduce the core concepts of the field of drug safety (pharmacovigilance) as well as provide insights into the many career options available.

Do you know anyone looking to kick start their career in drug safety? This collaborative course is aimed at anyone with an interest in pharmacovigilance and related job roles, no previous experience required.
Delegates will be introduced to:
- the importance of drug safety
- how this affects patients
- what it is like in a patient safety department ‘day-to-day’.
Practical workshops will give attendees an understanding of the on-going and proactive drug safety activities which are taking place in the patient safety departments and the key partnerships with health authorities to ensure patients are safe whilst taking medicines. This course is designed for those with little or no knowledge of drug safety (pharmacovigilance), who wish to gain an understanding of the background and the methods used to reduce risks to patients.
The training will be of benefit staff interested in working in pharmacovigilance departments as well as a broad range of staff in pharmacy, the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory authorities and academia.
