VAC4EU is 5 years old!

The DSRU team attended 5th anniversary celebrations of the Vaccine monitoring Collaboration for Europe (VAC4EU) in Brussels in November, joining with colleagues from across Europe to reflect on VAC4EU's success story during the pandemic and the sustainability achieved for new studies.

The panel comprising Peter Arlett, Heather Rubino, Susana Perez Gutthan, Felipe Villalobos and Rosa Gini discussed the need for more effective patient communication and education on the benefit-risk of vaccines, speedier RWE studies and more collaboration with stakeholders in Europe and beyond.

A key take home message was the value of the local data expertise and multidisciplinary teams that are involved in conducting VAC4EU studies. The DSRU is proud to be a very active member of VAC4EU, contributing expertise with UK data and the skills of our multidisciplinary team.
