Pharmaceutical Medicine Specialty Training (PMST) and Higher Medical Training (HMT)
The DSRU is working with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FPM) to deliver the Drug Safety Surveillance (DSS) module of Pharmaceutical Medicine Specialty Training (PMST) and Higher Medical Training (HMT) for which three courses have been designed.
Book these courses or view more information:
- Back to Basics in Pharmacovigilance
- Introduction to Pharmacoepidemiology
Risk Benefit Assessment in Pharmacovigilance
Each two day course delivers theory and experiential learning together with assessments which have been reviewed by the Board of Examiners of the FPM. Attendance at all three courses is recommended in order to cover the full DSS curriculum. Successful completion of the DSS module can be used as part of the training required to obtain a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) awarded by the Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board (PMETB).
Although priority is given to PMST and HMT candidates, these two day modules are also open to non-PMST and HMT participants (who will not undertake assessments).
Queries about the DSRU’s courses can be addressed to Lisa Harvey (lisa.harvey@dsru.org), Manager of Education & Training, DSRU.
