Structure
The Drug Safety Research Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees. The aims of the Trust are to support the DSRU as an independent unit working for patients’ safety to prevent and minimize the hazards caused by medicines.
Since its inception, many eminent doctors, scientists, politicians and academics have encouraged and supported the DSRU in its endeavours.
The Director, Prof Saad Shakir is supported by a team of medics, pharmacists and scientific research staff in addition to multi-disciplinary support staff.
